Gifted and Talented Multi-skill Academy Programme
5 pupil's from St Elphin's took part in the  Gifted and Talented Multi-skill Academy Programme at Preiestly College on the 23th, 24th and 25th of February. This was organised by the Warrington School Sports Partnership.
Pupils were able to take part in a variety of sports and activities that helped develop their coordination, movement, thinking, body awareness and physical skills.
'We did, athletics, football, fitness tests, basketball, boxing, tennis and lots more. I enjoyed lots but my favourite activity was using the gym equipment and the rowing machine. My score on the fitness test was 9/10.'
- Ollie
'I really enjoyed basketball, tennis and the fitness training. During the basketball sessions, we looked at dribbling and shooting, then we played a few matches. My team were unbelievable!   '

On Thursday, the year 4's took part in the Road to Goodison football tournament, which saw 14 schools compete to go through to the finals at Orford Jubilee Hub. The team did St Elphin's proud and topped their group with a massive 14 points, losing their first game but then winning their next three games 2-0, 3-0 and 5-0. Sadly, their winning streak ended in the quarter finals and they got knocked out in a game that they dominated.

Man of the Tournament goes to Jack C who scored a whopping 5 goals. Other goal scorers included Samuel and Kayden.

Powys, Priestly, Gaskell and Lever have been head to head this term, fighting it out at hockey to earn their team points that will go towards their team treat. Miss Wilkinson has been very impressed with the fight and effort each pupil has put in to their games and has enjoyed watching the competitive games.

The next sport that will be taking place between the House teams will be badminton. Get practising now!

Sport Council

Congratulations to the new sport council members; Georgia, Jake, Lacey, Abbey, Thomas, Ollie, Ronnie, Ruby-Mae and Bethan who will now be running weekly sport challenges at playtime and lunchtimes throughout the week for years 1-6. The winner of those sport challenges will earn their place on the coveted trophies on the Sports Hall of Fame wall.
