Our School Vision

Together in faith, we learn, we care, we serve, we share

Serve one another in love (Galatians 5:13)

Our School Mission Statement

At St Elphin’s, our mission is to create a loving and respectful environment where all children feel valued and supported and guided by faith, we serve others with compassion, building a future rooted in love and shared purpose. We nurture resilient, life-long learners who strive for excellence in all they do and through strong friendships and a deep sense of community, children are supported and inspired to grow in character, confidence, and self-belief, developing the resilience needed to face life’s challenges with courage and hope.

Our Christian Values

At St Elphin’s, our Christian values—love, friendship, hope, forgiveness, community, service, and respect—are at the heart of everything we do. Each year group focuses on one core value across the year, allowing children to develop a deep and meaningful understanding of how that value shapes their relationships, choices, and sense of self. These values are revisited weekly through whole school Collective Worship, helping to embed them across all aspects of school life. By living out these values together, we build a strong, caring community where every child is supported to grow spiritually, morally, and socially in God’s love.

At St Elphin’s, our Ethos Group works closely with the RE subject leader to promote and deepen our Christian values and support spiritual development across the school. This pupil-led group takes an active role in school life by writing and leading prayers in Worship, helping to plan and lead Collective Worship, and organising playtime activities that encourage reflection, kindness, and connection. Through their work, they help create a thoughtful, inclusive environment where spirituality can grow in meaningful, everyday ways.
