Let's build better play together!

Introducing OPAL (Outdoor Play and Learning) playtimes is a wonderful way to improve our school environment and enrich children’s experiences. OPAL encourages creative, active and inclusive play by providing a wider range of opportunities and resources at break times. Instead of playtimes being limited to football or simple games, children can explore building, role play, imaginative activities and teamwork. This supports the development of problem-solving, resilience and cooperation, while also helping pupils make new friends across different year groups. OPAL playtimes promote physical activity, which is vital for health and well-being, but they also allow children to choose how they want to play, boosting independence and confidence. By valuing play as an important part of the school day, OPAL helps improve behaviour, concentration and happiness in lessons. Overall, OPAL playtimes make our school a more engaging, inclusive and joyful place to learn and grow.

Together in faith, we learn, we care, we serve, we share

Serve one another in love (Galatians 5:13)
